Draft — pending legal review
This draft has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. Every point marked “REVIEW” needs a decision from Lahtha before publication.

These Terms govern your use of the Lahtha app and website. By using the platform you agree to them. Please read them carefully — they set out your rights and obligations.

1. Who we are

The Lahtha platform is operated by REVIEW — full registered company name, commercial registration (CR) number, and registered national address.

REVIEW — is the company VAT-registered? If so, state the VAT number here.

2. Definitions

  • “Platform” — the Lahtha app, website and all related services.
  • “Customer” — a person who creates an event and books services through the Platform.
  • “Vendor” — a service provider (venue, catering, photography, styling and similar) listed on the Platform.
  • “Booking” — a service request made by a Customer and accepted by a Vendor.
  • “Dana” — the in-app AI assistant.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into contracts. Accounts are created with a mobile number and verified by a one-time code sent over SMS.

You are responsible for keeping your number and verification codes secure, and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.

REVIEW — is one account per mobile number enforced? May businesses hold customer accounts?

4. What Lahtha does

Lahtha is an intermediary platform connecting Customers with Vendors. The contract for the service itself is between you and the Vendor; we are not a party to it.

We take reasonable care in verifying Vendors, but we do not guarantee service quality or the accuracy of Vendor-supplied descriptions, photographs, prices or availability.

5. Bookings and pricing

Prices display in the currency of the selected market and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The final price may change with guest count, date and selected add-ons.

A booking is confirmed only once the Vendor accepts it and any required payment completes. Until then the request remains pending.

REVIEW — does Lahtha take a commission from Vendors, a service fee from Customers, or both? State the rate and how it is calculated.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by Tap Payments. We do not store your card details on our servers; they are handled by the payment provider under its own security standards.

REVIEW — confirm the payment methods actually enabled per market (mada, Apple Pay, credit cards, KNET for Kuwait).

7. Cancellation and refunds

Each service carries a cancellation policy set by its Vendor and shown on the service page before payment. The policy displayed at the time of booking is the one that applies.

REVIEW — this is the most important clause in the document and must match the refund ladder actually implemented in the app. Please confirm the exact windows and percentages for each tier (Protected / Balanced / Advance) before publication.

If a Vendor cancels, you receive a full refund. Refunds return to the original payment method within REVIEW — agreed number of business days.

8. Your obligations

  • Give accurate, current information about your event and yourself.
  • Do not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the Platform by contracting directly with a Vendor to avoid fees.
  • Respect Vendor requirements on venue, guest numbers and timing.

9. Dana and AI-generated content

Dana is an automated assistant that produces suggestions and approximate estimates using AI models. Its output may be inaccurate and is not professional advice, nor a contractual commitment by Lahtha or any Vendor.

Always check the service page for final details and pricing before confirming.

10. Intellectual property

All trade marks, designs, software and Platform content are owned by or licensed to Lahtha and may not be copied or reused without written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or a Vendor’s failure to perform.

REVIEW — a liability cap (for example, limited to the value of the disputed booking) is recommended, subject to legal review.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms or suspected fraud, and will notify you unless prevented by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when published, and continued use of the Platform means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the competent courts of Kuwait City shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms: REVIEW — official email address, contact number and postal address.
